During Dec 10-15, 2007, a six-person, multinational team met at the lab of Dr. Christoffer Schander (Biology Department, University of Bergen) to conduct work on the stable isotope analysis portion of the MAR-ECO PN2 Trophic Interactions Study.
The material analyzed consisted of frozen samples taken during the 2004 G.O. Sars MAR-ECO expedition and the 2007 James Cook ECOMAR expedition. Results from stable isotope analyses will be used in the construction of food-web models for the ecosystems of the northern mid-Atlantic.
A short report on this workshop has been provided by Tracey Sutton, and can be downloaded here.
